Jo's first time on skiis 12/17/2009 2 years + 52 days old. She certainly wasn't sure at first, but once got some speed with Daddy, it was "again, again, again" and "mines skiis." They did about 5 or six laps on that hill - fun, fun! But she wouldn't get on the snowmobile with Daddy, maybe next time.

Ipswich Sept 09

Carl and Jo had an awesome 10 day Daddy / Daughter trip back east at the end of Sept. They had wonderful visits with Grampy George, Nana Nichols, Uncle Todd, Great Grampy and Great Grandma Judy. They got to see many friends also.

Mom survived at home, passing the time hiking, biking, waterskiing, working a little, and MISSING MY LOVES! It's so great to have them home. I am so proud of Carl for doing such a great job and very proud of Jo for being a good girl.

Labor Day 09 Bellevue and Stuart Island

We're back from an excellent but quick trip to Bellevue and spent most of our time at Stuart Island with the entire Paul crew plus some. Jo enjoyed her first trip to the zoo with Mary, Jennifer and Cate when we got back from Canada.

Today we went up to the Big Mountain and Carl got to finally ride the Zip lines that he built, Jo and I hiked and took pictures.

Then we rode the Alpine Slide a couple of times, very fun. Leaving the slide was such sweet sorrow:(

Updated Carole Mama visit

Wow, I can't believe our three weeks with Carole Mama is coming to an end. It's gone by so fast! David arrived on Sunday and they leave today (Monday) for a Glacier/Waterton/Banff adventure. Here are more pictures of the fun we have had - hiking, swimming, fun fun.

Another major bonus was Mommy's Day Off, I got to go hiking in Glacier with friends Brenda and Ellen, and new friends Erin (Ellen's friend) and Larry (Brenda's father-in-law). We had a spectacular day, the hike was to Firebrand Pass in the southeast corner of the park. Great friends, lots of laughs, gorgeous day and wildflowers, I loved every minute.

Jo's first Hike!

Betty's back and we went on Jo's first hike on the Trail of the Cedars in Glacier National Park.

Such a trooper, walked most of the way and enjoyed throwing rocks in the river and lake. We had a nice picnic and made it home for naptime and a huge thunderstorm that rolled through late afternoon.

We recently returned from Seattle, we had a great Mother's Day dinner at the Seattle Golf club. Epic buffet meal and so special to be with Betty. Pictures of Mother's Day:

Our little JoJo is fully talking now, we have heard up to 5 word sentences come out of her. She's such a mimic, we have to be extra careful what we say around her! She will say "Woggie's chair" "Bess you Mama" "SOWWY HONEE" The funniest I think is "Peese Mama, GOT IT!!!" Today at Abby's she said "Peese hep me, Savannah" WOW! Lots of fun, and non stop! JoJo's sleepover, last day of the season

Our friends Kirsten and Dave and their daughter Bailey were kind enough to have Jo over for a sleepover so Carl and I could go to the Patrol Party on Sunday night. We did the same for them the weekend prior. Perfect trade, parties for sleepovers!

The last day of the season was a beautiful sunny day, fantastic skiing with an excellent patrol party, couldn't ask for more, other than one more week of skiing!

Katie's visit

Katie visited us this past week in hopes to ski and play with Jo. She arrived just in time for Carl and I to have fallen to a major flu bug or food poisoning. Nurse Katie was on duty all of Wed, then babysat Jo Thurs, and we finally skied on Friday.

Carl's friend, Sean from Ipswich came for a quick visit on Thurs. Skiing on Friday was sunny and some new snow, lots of fun!

We went to the Seattle aquarium today with Mary, Jennifer, Cate, Amy, Kaitlin and Morgan. It snowed here last night, this morning was a beautiful sunny snowy day.

Yesterday we went to Jennifer's dance class. Jo and Cate got to join in the fun at the end for "free dance" very cute.
